Omri Kanada was born in Petach Tikva there he played for the local Hapoel club until he reached the first squad. Starting as an attacking midfielder, only in his late youth years he moved to play as a right defender. In the youth squad he managed to climb to the premiere league, finishing respectfully in 4th place in the coming season. Playing under known coaches like Dror Kashtan and Zevik Zelzer, Omri moved to the first squad and won the Toto cup in 2005/06, later that season he relegated with his team. Omri moved the Hapoel in 2008 after the first right defender, Dani Bonder was injured for the season.
