Starting 2007/08 as the team's captain, Waleed Badeer is one of the most respected players in Israel. After 7 seasons in Hapoel Petach Tikva, Badeer moved to English Wimbledon playing in the premiere leaugh in the season of 1999. A mediocre season in England brought him back to Israel signing for Maccabi Haifa. As a defensive midfielder Badeer played in Haifa for 5 seasong showing great form winning many titles. Playing in Hapoel for the past 3 years, Badeer is a warrior, widely loved and respected by the fans. Badeer has 69 international appearances, scoring 12 goals.
